Innovation Prize
Winner 2026
TrueHear is a digital service platform that allows anyone to measure their hearing in situations that resemble everyday life. The goal of the TrueHear innovation is to improve the diagnosis, screening and treatment of hearing loss and generate savings in healthcare. The innovation combines self-service measurement with realistic soundscapes. At the same time, it enables individual rehabilitation and the assessment of the benefits it brings – for example, it is easy to optimize hearing aid adjustments.
TrueHear's developer, professor Aarno Dietz, was selected as the recipient of the first-ever Nordic Medicine Innovation Prize. The prize, awarded by the Finnish Medical Foundation, was awarded on 21 January 2026 at the opening of the Helsinki Medical Days.
