Quality of life in CI recipients

The lack of reliable and validated patient-reported outcome measures for assessing hearing rehabilitation limits the ability to evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of cochlear implant (CI) care.

The aim of this study is:

  • to develop and validate a hearing-specific, health-related quality of life questionnaire for Finnish cochlear implant recipients that is suitable for routine clinical use.
